Please tell us a bit about yourself, your job and how you got to know Groovy, Grails and Griffon

Graeme:

I'm project lead and founder of Grails as well as Head of Grails Development at SpringSource. It started for me when I needed to improve productivity for a Spring, Hibernate application we had built. Groovy seemed the perfect tool to do that hence Grails was born.

GR8 Conf:
What will you be talking about at our conference?

Graeme:

I'll be doing an interactive talk demonstrating Grails' rapid web application development capabilities, one about developing plugins in Grails and one about the new features of Grails 1.1

GR8 Conf:
What do you think the attendees will bring home from this conference?

Graeme:

I would help conference attendees will leave with a real sense of the buzz that exists around these technologies and heavily motivated to employ Groovy and Grails in their day jobs.
